The ICG Marty Gear Costuming Arts and Science Fund announced that it has awarded a grant to Henry Osier on behalf of Costume-Con 43.
Grant Evaluation Panels
Grant applications to the Marty Gear Costuming Arts and Sciences Fund are evaluated by independent panels of evaluators who are assigned by the Fund Committee. The evaluators are chosen from a pool whose members are appointed by the ICG President. The pool of evaluators includes the following ICG members:
- Jill Eastlake
- Elaine Mami
- Jacqui Ward
- Ken Warren
Members of a panel are assigned based on their qualification to evaluate the grant application. Panelists are not in a position to receive private benefit, directly or indirectly, as a result of their evaluation. Evaluators play no role in the administration of the Fund.
The criteria used by a panel to evaluate a grant application includes:
- the quality of the project or activity
- its impact on the intended audience
- the qualifications of the applicants
- whether the deliverables and benefits can be adequately measured
- the likelihood that the project will substantially achieve its objectives
See the Fund Governing Document for a complete description of the grant evaluation process
