The Costume-Con Founder’s Award was instituted in 2005 by Karen Schnaubelt, Costume-Con’s founding chairperson and service mark holder, to award individuals who perform ex-traordinary overall achievements at Costume-Con.
At Costume-Con 40, Karen presented a Costume-Con Founder’s Awards to Costume-Con 39 co-chair Jennifer “Radar” Wylie for going above and beyond to keep Costume-Con visible and the convention’s flame alive. Karen also presented the award to Em-manuel “Manu” Hénault, Costume-Con 38’s chairperson, for similar ef-forts under very trying circumstances.
