CC-43 Future Fashion, Single-Pattern Contests Go Virtual
Although Costume-Con 43 will not take place this year, Chairman Henry Osier announced that the Future Fashion Show and the Single Pattern Contest will still take place in April as virtual events. These events will provide the costume community with a glimpse of what virtual competitions are like and how to run them.

Introducing the International Costumers’ Guild Press
The International Costumers’ Guild Press is the publication arm of the International Costumers’ Guild (ICG). Its mission is to publish long-form content including books and monographs on topics related to costumes and costuming. I’m pleased to announce that the first two titles were just published at the end of January 2025. Read this post for more about the ICG Press and these new titles.
From the President’s Desk — February 2025
This winter we’ve been to PawCon and Furcon, and I’m currently in Boston as the Hal Clement Science Speaker (science GoH) at Boskone 61. Next weekend I will be in Los Angeles for Gallifrey One, and have been building a Tron:Legacy-inspired hall costume for that. My Rocky the Flying Squirrel got a very effective minor makeover in time for Furcon.

2024 ICG Annual Meeting Reelects Officers, Welcomes New Chapters
The 2024 ICG Annual Meeting was held on Friday morning March 29 2024 during Costume-Con 42 in Aurora, Colorado. The items of business were to approve the application for a new chapter and to elect ICG Officers for the 2024-2025 term. Both meetings were also available online through the ICG’s Zoom account.
St. Louis Costumers Guild Painted Lady Award
The Painted Lady keeps to the spirit of our chapter while honoring the art of costuming and the courage of the artist(s). It is only presented at Costume-Con, and can be given either for a Fantasy and Science Fiction or Historical masquerade entry.

Jeanine Swick Receives 2024 ICG Lifetime Achievement Award
