Re: Members survey (cross posted from Yahoo)
The fields weren’t originally set that way, so I do apologize.  I think I’ve gotten most of them fixed.  There are some questions that were supposed to be required, but not all of them as they were showing.  Also, there were two questions on the survey that were not appearing for some reason.  Additional fields were also added to some questions based on suggestions from those who have taken the survey and found that there was no way to convey what they actually wanted to say.  Carol Salemi also made the suggestion of having a general comment field, so that has been added at the end of the survey. If you’ve already taken the survey and would like to retake it to answer the additional question or skip the questions that were previously required, the spreadsheet will be sorted for duplicates by name and time/date when the survey is done and use the one submitted with the later date/time from any identified duplicates and delete the other row from the spreadsheet.

Cordially,

I just want to say the following:  That having filled out this survey, there should ALWAYS be an option to leave a question blank, it is wrong to require answers to all questions, as the answer may require more than the YES/NO options usually given.

"Other International Competition (SDCC, NYCC, DragonCon)"  Focusing purely on the U.S.A....again. International, always in our name but rarely in our thoughts

I would love to see more actually  International stuff recognized. I don't understand why we aren't focusing on some of the amazing things happening outside of the USA.  Yes, SDCC, NYCC, and DragonCon are major international events.  However, they are hardly the only ones.

"International, always in our name but rarely in our thoughts" is so freaking accurate.

I only poke fun about it because it's chronically in the language of things we discuss and produce.  I just want people to really think about having ICG docs, discussions, functions that keep our supposed international nature in mind unless we are ready to admit that we're the "American Costumers Guild & Friends."

Yeah.  It’s a fair complaint really.  I know when I’ve talked to people in other countries they have pointed out that we are quite American-centric.

It's hard to poke fun without lighthearted stickers.

Hey @Mera Rose. I saw no objections to the expenditure of $100 to contract the services of Maryland Non-Profits by 11/20 (last Wednesday).  Has this been paid out yet?

I sent it to Jeanine to have it paid and added to the budget last week but have not received a response.  I’ll follow up by email today.

Jacalyn Boggs  2 years ago

Excellent. Hopefully that's been paid out then. I appreciate the swift response!

I get alerts.  Lol.  Cooking, but still around it needed.

Jacalyn Boggs  2 years ago

Yeah, well, it's always good to let people you know you are appreciative of their work. Good luck cooking.  I'm recording videos for a greater bulk of the afternoon.  How fun for me. LOL

Jacalyn, it has not been paid out and is now the subject of new threads on the boardofdirectors channel that you can follow.

I see that. I’m not sure I understand this problem, especially since it would help with some of these motions.

Where is the push pin? I don't see one.

If you are on the web, it is under the channel name. I’m not on my computer so I can’t actually screen capture it for you.

Mera Rose  2 years ago
Are you on the app or the computer?

Jacalyn Boggs  2 years ago
@Byron Connell I just checked and you voted in all four polls. Thanks for being so prompt and for trying to check! You are awesome. :)

I can send you some screen captures of where to click in the future to find the pins when I get back to my computer from the stove top if you’d like.
