Do you have an idea for a project or activity that advances the art and science of costuming and benefits the costuming community as a whole or a local costuming community? Then apply for a grant from the ICG Marty Gear Costuming Arts and Sciences Fund to help get it started.

The Fund was established in 2014, in honor of Marty Gear, a founder of the ICG and a strong supporter of costumers branching out and trying new things. It is supported by a combination of ICG membership dues, and the generosity of individual and institutional donors.

What kinds of projects and activities are eligible? Here are a just few examples:

  • Development of educational courses in costuming techniques
  • Local outreach programs that promote or raise awareness of costuming
  • Creating an online library of hard-to-find costuming resources
  • Use of costuming to aid seriously or terminally ill children

Take advantage of this unique benefit of ICG membership, while contributing to the costuming community. Visit the Marty Gear Fund page for more information about how to apply for a grant, and get your project off the ground today!
