I'm going to make people angry at me, and I don't care.Betsy
I humbly submit that you are stretched too thin, and are not really able to
give the ICG the attention it needs. Also we may possibly be
negatively affecting your work, which I don't want to feel any responsibility
for. I think you need to resign, to benefit all of us.There, I pointed a finger. So sue me.

Good morning everyone! Before we call for or consider
any further resignations, I'd like to ask everyone to have some patience and
let's work together to get solve the immediate issue of appointing an acting
President and VP.
I posted the following message to Slack last
night but had not had a chance to share it here yet:
Tangentially to all of this, I have received a
few responses from individuals on the board who feel they can't participate in
the conversation because of how heated the conversations have been getting. I
understand and respect everyone's passion, but I would like to respectfully ask
that going forward, we try to pay attention to how we phrase things, and
understand that text messages can come off more abrasive than they are meant
to. No one should be afraid to speak up and give their opinion. I think it is
pretty safe to say that by virtue of being on the board, we all care very much
about this organization, and we all want to see it recover from this and thrive
in the future. It is my sincere hope that we can mend many of the relationships
that have been hurt over the past week, including those with the chapters that
have withdrawn petitions.
I hope everyone has a wonderful, calm weekend.

Elaine,
I'd like to second your "motion". Betsy, you have
kids and they come first. And you need to take care of yourself. You would be a
good president, but you come first.

Betsy,
I missed details about your life. Sorry. But still take care
of yourself.

I'm much more worried right now about the possibility that a narcissist with
huge bills to pay is potentially in charge of $30k.But thank you for your
concern.

Also, as it has come to my attention that there might be some question about
this:
I am not now interested in either the office of
ICG President or Vice President. The presidency is the only office I have never
held at the corporate level, and I don't intend to change that now.
Anyone operating under the misconception that I
might be interested or, indeed, willing to serve in either capacity should have
spoken with me before suggesting anything to the contrary to anyone. "If
nominated, I will not run. If elected, I will not serve."
I am already the President of the Silicon Web
Costumers' Guild and (at present) a non-Primary member of the Greater Columbia
Fantasy Costumers' Guild, Inc., as well as Registrar and temporary webmaster
for Costume-Con 40 (for now). I serve as Costume-Con Archivist at the Service
Mark Holder's pleasure.
If there are any other questions concerning my
status in these proceedings, please address them to me and not the entire BOD list.Thank you for your time.

[ICG-BOD] 3 Chapter Letters of Petition
Vicky —Many thanks for saying this. As a Board member who has been strongly
troubled by the tone of recent discussions, I strongly agree.Byron
