A casual look through many scrapbooks would have you think Janet is determined to make
the world sparkling and beautiful through the style of costumes she makes. But there is
much more to her than that. Janet was essential in the formation of the ICG. She brought
her Fortune 500 businesswoman's mentality and expertise to bear on the second (California)
chapter of the ICG as well as the overall organization's beginnings. Janet also has always
been a big influence on how Costume-Con fashion shows were and are run, always trying to
raise their creditability to the level not only of the competition events, but also of
the real world fashion shows she had so much experience with.
