Mission Statement: The International Costumers' Guild, Inc., is an affiliation of amateur, hobbyist, and professional costumers dedicated to the promotion and education of costuming as an art form in all its aspects.

2/24/2014 -- The annual ICG Annual Meeting will take place at Costume-Con 32 the morning of Friday, April 25th 2014. This is a chance for you to interact with fellow members, chapter board representatives and your elected officers, and to hear the 2014 Annual Report. You may also bring items of business before the membership and ask questions of the board and officers. Finally you can vote on a slate of ICG officers for the 2014-2015 term. 7/18/2013 -- The ICG mourns the passing of Marty Gear today. "In addition to his many other contributions to the costuming community, for which we honored him as the second recipient of our Lifetime Achievement Award in 1991, he was one of the founders of the ICG and served as its Executive Director from its establishment in 1985 until our incorporation in 1989," said Byron Connell, an ICG past-president in a message to the ICG board of directors. "Perhaps more than anyone else in our community, Marty was responsible for bringing masquerades and other costumed stage events to their present state." The ICG sends its condolences to his family.

6/2/2013 -- ICG Recording Secretary Kathe Gust has posted the draft minutes of the 2013 ICG Annual Meeting, held on May 17th at Costume-Con 31 in Aurora, Colorado. These minutes, with any corrections she receives, will be proposed for approval at the 2014 ICG Annual Meeting. View the the agenda and muinutes here.
5/19/2013 -- ICG President Philip Gust presented two Lifetime Achievement Awards and three President's Awards following the Sci-Fi/Fantasy masquerade at Costume-Con 31. Lifetime Achievement Award winners were Tina Connell and Dawn McKechnie. Pierre Pettinger, Bruce Mai and Nora Mai received ICG President's awards, "For Extraordinary Service to ICG in Preserving and Sharing its History." See the announcement in the ICG-D Yahoo Group.
5/18/2013 -- ICG President Philip Gust announced that the current ICG officers were re-elected at the 2013 Annual Meeting, to serve until the 2014 Annual Meeting. See the announcement in the ICG-D Yahoo Group.
5/17/2013 -- At the ICG Annual meeting today, ICG Recording Secretary Kathe Gust announced that the Costumer's Quarterly archive is now available. This archive contains digital facsimilies of Costumer's Quarterly magazine, published by ICG between 1987 and 2001. See a write-up of the annoucement in the ICG-D Yahoo Group.
"Any competition that draws both entrants and audience from outside the host country can be considered an international competition. The ICG has voted to recognize the competitions at WorldCon, at Costume-Con and at Anime North.
